Lower Primary Chinese
Building Strong Foundations Through Fun & Exploration
At the lower primary level, how a child feels about Chinese matters just as much as what they learn.
At Mind On Chinese, we focus on making lessons enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful — so students naturally develop confidence and interest in the language.
Making Chinese Classes Enjoyable
01
Story Reading Routine(故事导入习惯)
Each lesson begins with a short story-reading segment to expose students to new vocabulary, sentence structures, and ideas.
每节课以阅读故事开始,让学生在潜移默化中接触新词汇 与句型。
03
Learn Through Play & Interaction(游戏中学习)
From character games to group activities, students actively engage with the language instead of passively memorising.
通过汉字游戏、小组活动等方式,让学生在互动中学习,而不是死记硬背。
02
Building Word Recognition through Radicals(部首识字)
We introduce common radicals (部首) in a structured yet fun way, helping students recognise patterns in characters and remember words more effectively.
通过系统化又有趣的方式学习部首,让学生掌握汉字结构,提高识字能力。
04
Creative Expression & Writing(创意表达与写作)
We encourage students to imagine and create.
For example, students may draw their own characters (like a monster!) and build stories around them — learning new vocabulary and descriptive phrases along the way.
我们鼓励学生发挥想象力进行创作。例如:学生画出自己的角色(如“小怪兽”),再围绕它编写故事,在过程中学习新的词语与描写方式。
